Ahoy there, Christina,
Thanks for dropping anchor here at planDisney! I’m glad you brought up your question before boarding your Disney Cruise Line adventure.
Your little buccaneer must be three years old to participate in
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. Children who turn three during the cruise may register for these clubs on or after their birthday. So, I encourage you to pre-register for the
“it’s a small world” nursery! when your
activity booking window opens since availability is on a first-come first-serve basis. There are plenty of activities offered for children in the nursery that cater to the various ages and stages of each child.
Christina, here's a tip for you! If you book an activity for yourself while your son is at the nursery, book his nursery time 30 minutes prior and 30 minutes after your event to allow for time for him to settle in and give you time to arrive and return from your event.
Now, more good news for your toilet-trained tot, he will be
able to use the swimming pools and the splash zones onboard! Depending on his height, he might be able to spin down one of the water slides, too. Be sure to check his height and the attraction requirements before you board to avoid disappointment.
No matter where your little guy spends his time during your cruise, I know
your family will enjoy your time aboard Disney Cruise Line. To get the excitement started while you are still on dry land,
download the My Disney Cruise Adventures booklet!
Thanks, again, for bringing your question to me, Christina. Please sail by any time with other questions you may have!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
