Ahoy, Stephanie! I’m so glad you sailed by planDisney with your question!
It sounds like you’re in the exciting early stages of planning your Disney Cruise Line adventure. How wonderful! If you’re looking to stay close to home, Disney Cruise Line offers some incredible sailings from
Australia and New Zealand, with departures from Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. There’s even a dreamy
South Pacific itinerary that sails between Hawaiʻi and Australia… talk about a bucket-list experience!
Now, to answer your question...when booking a Disney Cruise, you’ll need to pay a deposit at the time of booking to secure your reservation. But the final payment isn’t due right away. You’ll have time to make payments at your own pace, as long as the full balance is paid by your final payment due date. For most sailings, if your cruise is 5 nights or less, final payment is due 90 days before embarkation. If your cruise is 6 nights or longer, you’ll need to pay in full 120 days before your sail date.
If you need extra time to decide, Disney allows you to place a 3-day courtesy hold on most sailings before paying the deposit. Once your deposit is made,
you can pay off the balance however and whenever it works best for you, whether that’s in small installments or all at once before the due date. You can check your specific itinerary details, including your final payment date, under My Reservations in the Already Booked section on the
Disney Cruise Line website. You can also
call Disney Cruise Line with specific payment questions.
And if you’re dreaming of even more adventure, keep an eye out for the
Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line’s first ship homeported in Asia! Setting sail from Singapore at the end of 2025, it’ll be the largest ship in the fleet, packed with seven incredible themed areas.
No matter which Disney Cruise you choose, I just know you’re in for an unforgettable journey. If you have any other questions, I’m happy to help.
Wishing you smooth seas and magical memories!
