Welcome aboard, Anita! Sailing with Disney Cruise Line is so magical, but it sounds like you're adding even more magic to your Disney vacation by spending time at the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort before you head out to sea. I like the way you think! My family and I do this each time we sail from Port Canaveral too!
One of the many things I love about sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew is that they take care of all of the details and make our transition from land to sea and back again so seamless and easy! Disney Cruise Line offers
ground transfers between the resorts at Walt Disney World and Port Canaveral, and also between the Orlando International Airport and Port Canaveral. To book these, simply call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532. They can add those to your reservation for $35 per person each way.
The night before you set sail, you'll receive a letter in your resort room letting you know what time the motorcoach will be at your resort for pick up. Normally, your checked luggage will be picked up from your resort room around 8:00 a.m. to go ahead of you to the ship. Keep a day bag with you to enjoy the rest of the morning exploring your resort. The motorcoach pick up times vary per sailing, based on the guests that book them, but you can expect to be assigned a pick up time somewhere from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the hour-long ride out to the port. You can watch the screens onboard for some Disney trivia, classic Disney cartoons, and Disney Cruise Line information. Before you know it, you'll be driving over that last bridge to Port Canaveral where you'll receive the first view of your Disney cruise ship!
Have a fabulous
Land and Sea vacation with Disney, Anita!
