Ahoy, Liz!
It sounds like you are ready to take the plunge and embark on an adventure like no other-a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I hope that once you've secured your booking that your plans don't change, but I understand that life happens so I'm happy to share with you some important information about cancellation policies.
Liz, regular stateroom reservation deposits can be fully refunded as long as you cancel prior to your pay in full date. This date actually varies and can depend on a couple of factors including your sail date and itinerary. I can tell you that this date will fall between 75 and 120 days prior to your departure so if you book early, you will have a lot of time to save for final payment. My advice is to familiarize yourself with the
Booking Terms and Conditions that are found on the Disney Cruise Line website. There's a section that goes over the important dates that you'll want to be aware of if you think you may have to cancel. (Cancellations can be made over the phone or in writing.) If you are considering Concierge, you'll want to note that you will lose your deposit amount per Guest if you decide to cancel before final payment.
I suggest marking the final payment date on your calendar when you are booked, Liz. It will be listed in your cruise reservation information on the Disney Cruise Line website. You may also want to purchase travel insurance soon after booking. This is available through Disney Cruise Line or through independent companies and will give you peace of mind if you have to cancel after your pay in full date.
Liz, I really hope you won't need any of this information as a Disney Cruise Line vacation offers a tremendous value and more importantly, memories that will last a lifetime! Good luck with your plans, and please reach back out if we can help you further.
Nancy
