Welcome Home, Craig!
Thanks for stopping by the planDisney Panel! Using your
Vacation Points to stay at one of the
Disney Collection Resorts can be a great way to visit Disney theme parks around the world, or to book a standard resort room when villa availability is limited.
Booking in the Disney Collection cannot currently be done online, and you will need to call Member Services. They will be able to check availability and assist you with booking. Typically booking within the Disney Collection is subject to the Rule of Four, meaning you cannot book
and travel during the last four months of your Use Year. This does not apply to reservations at Disneyland however, so booking a stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel can be a good option to use Vacation Points before they expire. Do know that Vacation Points will be converted into Reservation Points, and once that action is done, it cannot be undone. Reservation Points can be used to book Disney Collection Hotels, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney!
Member Services is open at 7 AM Eastern seven days a week. They are open until 9 PM Monday through Friday and 7 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Do be aware that there is a scheduled Member Services technology upgrade beginning Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 10 PM. You will be unable to call Member Services during that time or access any areas of the Disney Vacation Club Website that require Members to sign in. It is expected that they will be done with the system upgrade on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 If you will want to book a room in the Disney Collection you may want to make that booking before the scheduled outage window.
I hope this helps as you plan, Craig. If you haven’t already found them,
Points Charts for the Disney Collection, including the resorts at Disneyland are online. Please let me know if you have additional questions about your Membership, we are here to help!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
