Welcome to planDisney Carolina, and thanks so much for stopping by with your question about booking a stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort! I’m so glad you’re starting to plan your magical getaway, and I’d be happy to walk you through how payment works when reserving a Disney hotel.
If you choose a
room only reservation, which means you're just booking the hotel without park tickets, Disney typically asks for a deposit equal to one night’s stay plus tax when you make your reservation. The remaining balance isn’t due until you arrive, so you can take care of it at check-in or any time before your stay.
However, if you’re booking a
vacation package that includes both your resort stay and park tickets, the payment process is a little different. You’ll currently need to pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking, and the full balance will be due 30 days before your arrival. In that case, payment at check-in isn’t available since everything must be paid in full in advance.
Booking directly through the Walt Disney World website or by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations is the best way to ensure you're clear on the terms of your reservation.
Carolina, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
