Welcome to planDisney, Karen! Thank you for bringing this question to the panel today, it’s lovely to help a fellow Guest from bonnie Scotland plan a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Animal Kingdom Lodge has some delicious dining options, so I can see why you’re keen to book a dinner reservation there, Karen! My family dined at
Boma - Flavors of Africa, and found something for everyone on the menu; it was such a unique experience.
The complimentary transportation is one of my favourite features of staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel. The bus, monorail, ferryboat and Disney Skyliner are always ready to whisk you away to your magical destination!
The complimentary buses generally operate until one hour after a theme park’s closing time. The buses between
Disney Resorts and
Disney Springs end one hour after closing. You may find it most convenient to take the bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney Springs after your dinner reservation, and then on to your Disney Resort Hotel. Be sure to check the park opening times closer to your trip to help you
plan your bus transportation!
If you're looking for a more direct transport option, you could always consider a rideshare service or the adorable
Minnie Van Service. While this does come with an additional cost, it will add a little sprinkle of pixie dust and flexibility to your evening.
Top Tip: If you decide to take the complimentary bus to
Disney Springs, leave time to browse some of the shops before you head to your hotel! My family loves finding our gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, whosits and whatsits galore, at
World of Disney!
Karen, I hope this information has helped you decide on a transport option, so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey to your Disney destination.
If you have any more questions about your upcoming trip, please know that you always have a friend in us at the
planDisney panel.
Dreams and Wishes,
Abi
