Welcome to planDisney, Nancy, where I welcome you with the deepest pride and greatest pleasure! If you want to talk about dining at
Walt Disney World Resort, you've come to the right place because eating is my favorite. And speaking of food, I recently visited the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and the food carts have some fabulous offerings. The festival will still be blooming for your visit in May, and the plant-based
Garden Graze was delicious and adventurous. The Impossible Lumpia was *chef's kiss*! And the best part of the festival is you don't need advanced dining reservations. You stroll from booth to booth and eat until, like Belle, you shout, "Enough, I'm done!"
Although I love spontaneous meals and snacks at the theme parks, I also enjoy a relaxing and delicious Table Service meal. Regarding those dining reservations, you can
make reservations for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days) on the 60th day out if you're staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel. If you're staying off-property, you will make your dining reservations one day at a time at the 60-day mark.
As for how to go about booking a party of ten, I would suggest you try both ways. First, set your clock for 7:00 AM EST on day 60, and have your Mickey Mouse mug of coffee ready to go. Then, prioritize your list and have some backup plans. I always start with the restaurants I know tend to fill up quickly, such as the ones offering character dining. Since the dining page allows you to book for ten people, try that first to see what availability you can find. If there isn't anything available for your entire party, then you could divide your party into two reservations. You might not be able to get the exact time slot, and there's no guarantee you'll be seated near each other, but at least you'd all be at the same restaurant around the same time. It does pay to be flexible!
I hope you try the gray stuff, Nancy, and I'm sure you'll have a marvelous time. Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
