    Can you book dining online rather than calling? Also, how do you know if there is availablity for the dates you want, or do you have to actually speak to someone before you can know? I am taking my 8 year old in July and any suggestions re dining welcome

    There is no way to book dining online. You must make phone calls to make dining reservations. I see that you're in Australia, so this could be quite a bother both in terms of long distance call expense and coordinating the differences in time zones. My only alternative would be to see if there is some sort of travel agent local to you that could help you make the calls. (This would be an alternative in the US, but I don't know much about travel bookings in Australia. Sorry.)

    You won't know anything about availability until you call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463, plus the appropriate country codes). My suggestion to make your call run smoothly would be to create a spreadsheet of the reservations you would like to make for each day. Then have several alternatives for each meal ready in case your first choice is not available.
