It is great to welcome you back to planDisney!
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers said that the waiting is the hardest part! It’s not to the point of heartbreaking, but it certainly does take some patience to wait for those special days to open up so you can start planning your magical adventure!
I just checked the
reservation calendar again and you can make Walt Disney World hotel reservations through the spooky night of October 31, 2027. November and December 2027 are still not open, and we really don’t have a firm date on when those two holiday months will be ready for reservations. Looking at the past few years, the announcement did happen in the first half of the year, so I’m hopeful that there will be an update soon!
Lisa, I would suggest that you bookmark and keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. They will be one of the first places to have information on those December 2027 vacation packages and dates that you are looking for. You can also follow us here at
planDisney for any updates that we receive!
Once you do get the good word, may I suggest a few of my favorite resorts as great places to enjoy the holiday season?
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is my absolute favorite during the holidays! The lobby is spectacular with the holiday decorations and the giant Christmas tree! We have a family picture from two years ago adorning my living room wall from in front of that beautiful tree! I never miss an opportunity to order a Bison Cheeseburger at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill it is so tasty!
If you are looking for a moderate resort, I highly recommend
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter. It is a quiet, quaint, laid-back vibe that is perfect if you are looking to wind down during the busy holiday hustle and bustle. With the Mickey-shaped beignets every day for breakfast at
Scat Cat’s Club Cafe, it is the perfect way to start a day! You can end a day at
Scat Cat’s Club Lounge with live jazz Thursday through Sunday at 7:30pm. It is a hidden gem at one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World!
Lisa, we always make plans to join Mickey and Minnie at
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom during our stay during the holidays. The dates for the next party are like vacation package reservations; they haven’t been announced but will be soon!
Lisa, the waiting is the hardest part, but we know what’s waiting for you at the end of the wait! It’s an amazing adventure and of course a Mickey Bar or two! Have a magical time!
