Ahoy, Angela!
It is wonderful to hear from you again! We are SO glad we've been able to assist you with all your cruise questions.
Isn't it fun "Dream"ing of a tropical, Bahamian adventure with your favorite mouse? There are so many things to consider so sometimes it's nice to enlist the support of an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help you with all the magical details. I've booked directly through Disney Cruise Line and through a travel agent who specializes in Disney and have had positive experiences with both so it's really a personal preference.
I can tell you that it's best to book your cruise with all the possible Guests listed on the initial reservation. There are several reasons this works out best including the price of your cruise fare will most likely be less the further out you make your reservation. If there is space to add someone later, they will have to pay the current pricing. Also, ship capacity can be a factor the later you book even if the stateroom you want to reserve holds the number in your party. There has to be lifeboat space for each Guest so some decks do reach capacity depending on how many Guests are assigned per cabin. And the good news I have for you, is that you can cancel or change Guests on your reservation before final payment is due at 75 days prior to departure and receive a full refund. Cancellation fees do apply after that date, but you can change the Guest to another friend or family member up to 45 days before you set sail without penalty or additional fees. Any changes after 45 days do require a $50.00 fee.
Angela, my best advice is to go ahead and reserve your crew's spot on the
Disney Dream and encourage everyone to start saving towards the final payment date. Please let us know if we can assist you further!
