Hi there, Jill!
Welcome aboard planDisney! How wonderful to hear you are doing some post-holiday cruise shopping. I have been perusing future itineraries as well!
My family LOVES cruising in
concierge staterooms. We really enjoy the hosts in the concierge lounge and are grateful for the early advance booking window to secure our favorite
Port Adventures and
onboard activities! Due to a change in our little one's school schedule, a few years ago we were unable to sail as scheduled. We were booked in a concierge stateroom, so our deposit was
not refundable. We were able to move our deposit to a future cruise date as to not lose the money we had already paid toward the deposit. You can view an entire schedule of cruise cancellation fees (based on the date you cancel) in
Disney Cruise Line's terms and conditions.
Typically, concierge staterooms require 20% of the cruise fare as a deposit and is due within 24 hours of booking the itinerary. Deposit requirements are subject to change, so be sure to review your reservation closely as it will provide you the deposit amount due when you check out.
Be careful, Jill! Once you sail concierge it is hard to cruise without that amazing lounge. The first question my kids ask when we are planning a cruise is if they will be able to go to the lounge, visit their favorite hosts and have all the snacks, desserts and soda they can handle! I must admit, I love it for all the same reasons as well!
Good luck and pixie dust planning your adventure with Captain Mickey. I hope you will cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before you set sail, Jill!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
