If you book your airfaire through Disney, is it cheaper than booking directly with the airline?

    Hi Erika,

Thanks for your question.  This one really depends on where you are traveling from and when you are traveling.  I know you can get a fair price on airline tickets through Disney as my parents did last summer.

I would recommend getting a quote from Disney as well as researching other travel sites such as Expedia or Orbitz for pricing on airlines.  In addition, if you have a particular carrier you like, I would go directly to their website for pricing.

Given the current state of fuel prices, airline tickets are going to be in general more expensive now than in the past.  Working for an airline, I would say book early and look for travel dates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or the first flight on Saturday.  The time of your flight will change the price as well.

As soon as you know your dates, I would look for airfare as some carriers list their schedules almost one year in advance.  Most should have their schedules published through Labor Day 2008 at this point.

One final note, Orlando is a major destination for most carriers who fly there so finding that last minute deal is not always worth waiting.

    Good luck and happy flying!
