Are boats running at OKW yet? Website says “early April” - hoping website just hasn’t been updated yet, are you able to check? Thank you!

Hiya, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney!

Your Walt Disney World vacation is just a few days away! How exciting! Before you know it, you’ll be immersed in the magic, relaxing at Old Key West Resort and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks.

I talked to a friendly Cast Member and I’m sorry to report that there is currently no water transportation between Old Key West Resort and Disney Springs due to refurbishment work on the resort’s shoreline. No specific end date has been shared and complimentary buses are currently being offered as an alternative transportation option to Disney Springs (construction timelines are subject to change without notice).

Whether you are planning to visit Disney Springs or anywhere else at Walt Disney World, be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app. Not only does the app give you access to your tickets and Lightning Lane passes, but it also provides directions and transportation options to most locations around the Walt Disney World Resort. For example, I just looked up directions between Old Key West and Disney Springs, and at the time I’m writing this the app says it would be a 34-minute walk or a 38-minute bus ride.

Jennifer, I hope this information is useful for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. I hope you have the most amazing time! Don’t hesitate to come back if any other questions arise. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
