Where do the boats at port orleans go?

Ahoy, Sara, and welcome aboard planDisney; we'll have a boatload of fun answering your question! You'll be arriving soon at the Most Magical Place on Earth, so let's look at water transportation options during your stay.

It sounds like you'll be hanging your captain's hat at one of Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. My family's first stay was at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside many years ago. My son is an adult now, but he still remembers my mom teasing him about the trolls under the stone bridges. Even back then, using water transportation was one of our favorite amenities at this resort.

The Sassagoula River Cruise is a relaxing and picturesque way to go between this resort and Disney Springs. The ride takes about 20 minutes, but be sure to factor in wait time. Sometimes the boat stops at both sections of this resort, Riverside and French Quarter, which can add a few extra minutes.

While you're at Disney Springs, my tip is to check out Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. The decor is a tribute to that ultimate adventurer, Indiana Jones. I can't wait to try the Medjoul Date Flatbread!

Sara, I hope I've steered you on the right course for your upcoming Disney voyage. You can stop by planDisney any time. Aye aye!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
