Howdy, Partner! Jim, I am glad you moseyed on by planDisney. I always have a hankering to talk about one of my favorite resort areas and modes of transportation. Well, in fairness, they are all my favorites for different reasons. It's kind of like toys — leave none behind.
There are several routes for
travel by boat from
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground: one destined for
Magic Kingdom Park and another that travels around Bay Lake, taking Guests between Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge and
Disney's Contemporary Resort.
When my family stayed at Wilderness Lodge this past October, the water taxi to the Magic Kingdom was a delightful "morning commute." And the journey to Magic Kingdom includes sailing over a roadway. Looking off the side of a boat and seeing cars going underneath: that's some fun Disney magic!
On two evenings, we used the other route to go to Fort Wilderness for the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. Heading to the Magic Kingdom one night, we stopped at the Contemporary and walked over to the theme park: the water, the resorts, and the views made for an enchanting evening.
Looking for more Disney magic? Take the water taxi during the
Electrical Water Pageant. I am always thrilled to see this parade, and watching it from a boat on Bay Lake was an extra sprinkle of Pixie Dust.
Jim, I hope your magical vacation includes multiple forms of
Disney Transportation. They are attractions to enjoy, and they don't even require a theme park ticket.
