Are boat rentals still available at certain resort marinas? Still $49 per half hour? Someone on the phone told my husband they were no longer available, but it’s still listed on your website. Thanks for your help!

Ahoy, Mary, and welcome to the most magical seaworthy vessel around...planDisney! Thanks for this buoyant question about boat rentals. Let's dive in to see how you can secure a voyage on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit.

I double-checked with a first-mate Cast Member who told me the information on the website is accurate, so you and your party can set sail during your trip. Since rentals are subject to availability and are on a first-come basis, I'm sending pixie dust and life jackets so you'll secure the cruise of your dreams.

You can choose from various speed boats and pontoons at select marinas, and remember that at least one crew member must be at least 18 years old. Little sailors 12 and under are required to wear provided life vests.

Please read through the Important Details section for more information about this exciting adventure, and you'll be feeling the breeze on your face before you know it!

If you're a planner like me who likes booking activities in advance, you might consider a Specialty Fireworks Cruise. I recently had this experience sailing Seven Seas Lagoon, and it was absolutely fabulous. The pontoons are luxurious and spacious, and they can accommodate up to ten guests. Boat captains are provided and act as tour guides, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Mary, I hope I've steered you through uncharted waters so you know more about renting motorized boats on your next visit. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
