Hi Roberta!
Welcome Home, and welcome to planDisney! Walking across
Disney’s BoardWalk in the evening, with lights strung up along the way and an ice cream in hand, is one of my favorite places in all of the Walt Disney World Resort. I actually love it so much, we became
Disney Vacation Club Members at
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas!
The BoardWalk itself is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, and I encourage you to visit if you are able! With
safety precautions for Covid-19, however, visits to resort hotels may be limited to overnight Guests of those hotels. and those with
Advance Dining Reservations. So if you wanted to make a visit, I would plan a meal at either
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort,
Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
There are a variety of ways to get to Disney’s BoardWalk from other Disney Vacation Club Resorts, and it just depends on where you are staying. From Disney’s Beach Club Villas, you can simply walk! If you are staying at another Disney Vacation Club Resort the easiest would be to take a bus to one of the theme parks or Disney Springs and then hop a bus for Disney’s BoardWalk or Disney’s Beach Club. If you had a bit more time, my preferred method would be to take a bus to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and then take either a
Friendship Boat, or board
Disney’s Skyliner to Epcot’s International Gateway. From there you can walk to Disney’s BoardWalk! A taxi, Uber, or Lyft are also options. Keep in mind, if you have a car and are driving, you would only be able to park at Disney’s BoardWalk if you had an Advance Dining Reservation at the resort, and you would only be allowed a few hours of parking, just long enough for your meal and a little bit of shopping.
I hope this helps you find your way to a lovely evening walk along Disney’s BoardWalk, Roberta! Wishing you a magical Disney vacation!
