From Boardwalk Villas, how do we get to Portabello at Downtown Disney and how long would it take? Is this restaurant covered in the free dining plan being offered 9/30-10/4/12 with Disney stay? How does Portabello compare to Via Napoli and Tutto Italia?

    Hey there Barb,

I come from an Italian family and boy do we love eating at Portobello.  The menu is covered by the Disney Dining Plan and features a nice mix of old world cuisine and unique dishes with a modern flair!  With it's warm decor and waterside setting, the ambience is truly amazing and relaxing!  The best way to travel to Downtown Disney from the Boardwalk, is by resort bus and travel time is about 20-25 minutes or so.

Portobello is similar to Tutto Italia with regard to menu offerings and atmosphere, but I actually prefer Portobello.  Plus, a trip to Downtown Disney can be a great way to escape the parks for a bit, indulge in some shopping, and enjoy some live entertainment.

Via Napoli, in my opinion, is in a league of its own.  This is the place to go for pizza.  Think authentic, thin-crust, neapolitan pie with delicious sauce and fresh toppings.  The pizzas are hand-crafted and cooked to order in one of three blazing brick-ovens which, themselves, are a sight to see!

If you want a relaxing sit-down experience with antipasto, salads, pasta, etc, then I recommend Portobello. For tasty pizza in a laid-back and lively atmosphere within Epcot, then Via Napoli is your place!  Honestly, I recommend both if you can squeeze it!

Be sure to head back if I can answer any additional questions about Dining, or anything else!

    Best (and tasty) wishes,

    Amanda F.
