April,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
At this time Disney does require that visitors to their resorts have a pending reservation, or other advance purpose for visiting, so parking at either location might not be feasible. Of course you are correct,
Jellyrolls, as well as the
River Roost over at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside do not take reservations, making your travels a bit more challenging.
But I think I can help with your plans. Here is what I would do.
Jellyrolls: My suggestion is that for Jellyrolls you park at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and simply ride the
Disney Skyliner over to the
BoardWalk. It is both a convenient way to get there, and the views are outstanding!
River Roost: As for seeing Bob (which I did just last weekend. Awesome, as ever!), you can park at
Disney Springs and take the boat to the resort hotel. Again, a great way to travel, and views that cannot be beat!
I hope that this helps, and that your evenings are every bit as entertaining as I am certain that they will be!
BONUS TIPIf you have someone in your party who may not enjoy the louder entertainment at the River Roost, we discovered an adjacent seating area where you could still feel like you were part of the fun, but you could also carry on a conversation.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
