How do I get to the Boardwalk from the Art of Animation?

Hi, Alaine!  The fastest way to get from your Resort to the BoardWalk is to take a taxi.  The ride will take about six minutes. If a taxi is not in your budget, or just something you don't want to do, then you will need a transfer point.  You can either use a theme park or Downtown Disney.  From your Resort, the closest theme park transfer would probably be Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Just take a bus there, or Downtown Disney, and then hop on a bus going to the BoardWalk Inn.  You could expect this to take about 45 minutes to an hour. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
