We will be boarding our first Disney cruise in September, and we were wondering if they offer any behind the scene tours or art of the theme show tours upon the Fantasy. We want to make the most of our experience. Do you have any suggestions?

    Welcome aboard, Sharon!

There are a couple of formal tours on the Fantasy including a walking tour the very first day. This is a nice way to get acquainted with the ship, its layout and how to get around. But, my favorite tour is the Art of the Theme Show Tour. This tour will take you all around the Fantasy, highlighting the ships design and giving you an inside glimpse into the themes, culture and artistry that went into creating the Fantasy. I love to hear the little secret insider tips on why things are the way they are, why they were designed and learn some hidden secrets to the designs. It's a tour you don't want to miss.

Another fun activity series for the adults is the Art of Entertaining series. Usually you'll have three of these throughout the cruise. Guests sit in with the Chef de Cuisine who cooks up the perfect appetizer, entree or dessert from Disney Cruise Line's menu. Besides receiving the recipe, watching the chef at work and enjoying the tips to good entertaining at home, my favorite part of this series is tasting the creations!

My family loves to attend the Animation classes (some are for adults only, while others are for the whole family), where we learn to draw one of our favorite Disney characters! Who knew I was secretly an artist?

There are also wine and other beverage tastings onboard, so stop by Guest Services on your first day to find out what they'll be offering as far as tastings and sign up on a first come, first served basis. My husband and I love these fun outings onboard the ship together, and always seem to learn something new!

Be sure to check your Personal Navigator each day where you can read about all the events and activities that are planned!

Have fun as you continue to plan, Sharon! I'm happy to help with other questions before you set sail, so please don't hesitate to stop back again!
