Welcome aboard, Kathy! Your
Disney Dream sailing is just a few days away! I'm jealous that you're about to head out to sea to enjoy a warm adventure while you leave the rest of us Midwesterners back home to battle the below freezing temperatures right now! You certainly picked a great time to get away!
As you board the Dream, your vacation officially begins! The Cast Members will announce your family name and applaud your arrival. This is my favorite part of embarkation day as it signals to me that our cruise vacation has officially begun! Staterooms are not ready for guests right away, so you'll need to keep any day bags with you that you carry onboard for a bit until you can get to your stateroom. Head straight to lunch in either Enchanted Garden or Cabanas. Other guests will be hauling their carry-on bags around too, so it is a bit tricky to navigate that day, but tuck your bags under your table and allow yourself to relax. You're on vacation!
Staterooms are usually ready for guests around 1:30 that day, so after lunch, explore the ship a bit then head up to drop off your gear and go explore some more! The mandatory guest assembly lifeboat drill isn't until 4:00, so you've got plenty of time to check out your home away from home before that begins. After the drill, I highly suggest you head straight up to the pool deck and snag a great spot for the
Sail Away Deck Party. "Adventures away, on the ocean blue, and suddenly you are sailing away! There's so much to explore, and everything's waiting for you!" That's the song they'll be singing, and as I sing it to myself right now, I am picturing my family waving streamers, enjoying the drink of the day, and celebrating the start to a magical adventure. I can't wait for you to experience it all too, Kathy!
Bon Voyage!
