Hello Anne!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I am also a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, and always happy to help a Passholder friend. It is important to plan around any possible blockout dates and to consider those dates when booking a stay or purchasing or renewing your Annual Pass.
On your desktop or from a browser, check out the
Admission Calendar for Annual Passes. You can select which type of Annual Pass you want to know about, and the calendar will adjust to show you the blockout dates for that specific type. You can also find this information on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. While in the app, select the three little horizontal lines in the lower right-hand corner. When this opens up a new menu of options, choose Park Hours & Info also on the bottom right side of the menu. That will open this current month’s calendar. Just below the title Park Hours & Info, you’ll see Park Hours again, in bold. That’s a toggle menu, and you can slide it to the left to select Annual Passholders instead. When you toggle to Annual Passholders it will open a calendar similar to the desktop version where you can select a type of Annual Pass and view a monthly calendar showing blockout dates.
While the sales of new Annual Passes have been paused, current Passholders can renew their passes. Usually, you can renew your Walt Disney World Annual Pass 60 days before expiration or up to 30 days after. While that is still generally the case, if you have a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel reservation booked, and need to renew your Annual Pass to reserve those important
Disney Park Pass Reservations, you should be allowed to renew early. Call ticketing to renew most Annual Passes, or
Disney Vacation Club Member Services if you have a
discounted pass through DVC.I hope this information is helpful, Anne. Thanks for sending me your question, and please feel free to send any additional questions you have. I am happy to help!
