Hi there, friend and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World this August/September! A visit to one of the incredible
Water Parks is without doubt the best way to cool off when visiting during the Summer months!
For the past few years, only one Water Park has been open at any given time and, as my family have visited Walt Disney World during August/September for the past couple of years, I can tell you that typically it is Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park which is open at this time.
As Park Hours are only available to view up to and including the 31 March 2025 right now, I would recommend downloading the
My Disney Experience Mobile App where you will be able to check the Park Hours for the dates of your visit once they have been released. I would also suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as this is the official resource for all of the latest Disney Parks news.
Now, let's get onto transportation. The good news is that if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to
get around with ease by using the complimentary bus, boat and monorail services, as well as the Disney Skyliner, during your stay.
Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and
Disney Springs is available during Disney Springs operating hours—and ends one hour after closing. Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and Theme Parks begins 45 minutes prior to opening and ends one hour after closing. Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and the two Water Parks is slightly different and as described on the
Bus service page of the Walt Disney World website.
Lastly, there are
several options to get from Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort hotel. You can book an airport shuttle through the Mears Connect website. I have used this service many times myself and have always found it to be really convenient.
I hope that this has answered your questions. Please feel free to re-visit us here at planDisney should you have any other questions about your upcoming visit.
Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
