Welcome aboard, Denise! Congratulations on your upcoming back to back cruises on the
Disney Fantasy!
My family and I have had the same staterooms on our back to back sailings, which is certainly the most convenient way to go. However, even if you have to swap staterooms in between the sailings, it is not that complicated. The night before the first sailing ends, you'll receive a note in your stateroom giving you specific instructions on what you'll need to do to move to the next stateroom. Your stateroom host will handle the transfer of your luggage and clothes to the next room for you. Typically, you will need to be out of your stateroom by 8:00 a.m. as the stateroom will need to be prepared for the next guests. These details along with where to meet other back to back cruisers to file off together will be included in your letter the night before. Keep a day bag with you so you have everything you'll need to enjoy the nearly deserted ship in between. And don't forget to have your passport and Key To The World Card with you, as you will have to clear customs between the sailings.
Guests who are cruising back to back are still required to leave the ship for a short period but you'll be the first back on board, so while many spots onboard will be closed in that in-between time, and you may not get to your new stateroom right away, you'll still have plenty of places to relax! Surely, lounging on the pool deck (though the pools and
AquaDuck usually don't open until a bit later, but you can be the first in line when it does!) or relaxing in the shade on the Deck Four walking track are some of my favorites! Plus, the guest laundry rooms are empty so it's the best time to throw in a load or two before starting the new voyage.
Have an amazing trip, Denise!
