Still a bit confused on dining plan..quick service-one reply mentioned tax added to bill. Will we have to have cash on us for misc tax? we would normally just tip @ a table service that doesn't have tip included right?

    Hi Jen,

Great questions about the Disney Dining Plan! I hope these answers will help with the confusion.

Lets talk about the tax. You have already paid the tax when you purchased the Disney Dining Plan. You are paying up front a fixed price for your meals including tax. When you get your bill, you may see tax on it. However, that is an accounting item for Disney not you. You only need to make sure the correct number of credits are deducted.

As for the tip, if the tip is not included which is at table service meals, you can charge the tip to your room or pay with cash or credit card. Since you will be using Magic Bands to use for your tickets and dining meal credits, you can add charging privileges to the Magic Band. This is the easy way to cover tip and any other incidentals such as alcoholic beverages not covered on the plan.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
