Hi Kristin,
Happy 40th Birthday! There's no better place to celebrate than at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you and your husband are going to love experiencing it just the two of you! My husband and I have gone on a couple of anniversary trips without our kiddos, and I'd love to share some of our favorites with you!
First of all, enjoy eating a hot meal...wherever you'd like, whenever you'd like! We've enjoyed quiet, romantic dinners at places like Chefs de France and Le Cellier Steakhouse, or more adventurous and fun choices like Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant or Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. Maybe the best gift you could give yourself is to sleep in and have a fantastic brunch before setting out for a fun day in the theme parks. Although pampering yourself and completely relaxing in one of Disney's fantastic
spas would be amazing, too.
When we visit without our kids, we love taking time to stroll through the countries of Epcot and really soak up the culture, shopping, and cuisine. There are also some really fun entertainment options for adults like the dueling pianos at
Jellyrolls at Disney's BoardWalk or
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort where the Cast Members have lots of fun surprises to share. I haven't been yet, but I've heard amazing things about
The Edison at Disney Springs, and am sure you'd have a great time there, too.
Don't forget to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button when you arrive, and have a truly magical birthday celebration! Enjoy these special moments with your Prince Charming!
Missy
