Can I use my birth certificate to get in to Disney

Hi Maddie, and welcome to planDisney!

As a fellow Florida resident, I'm always on the lookout for special offers, deals, and discounts so that I can share the magic with my neighbors and friends. It seems like you've already heard the good news and will be arriving very soon to Walt Disney World Resort! So, let's get into exactly what you'll need in order to step right into the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.

I assume that you're either activating a Florida Resident annual pass or you are needing to prove Florida residency for a special Florida Resident ticket. In either case, per the Proof of Residency FAQ page, you will need to present the following to Guest Relations at the resort in order to obtain the pass or ticket:

-Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
-Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
    -Valid Florida-based military ID

While I'm unsure that a birth certificate would do the trick because it does not include photo identification, you may also use a passport or another photo ID along with current (within the past 2 months) proof of a mortgage, utility bill, insurance policy, or even mail from a financial institution or government agency.

For future reference, you can also verify your Florida residency online by filling out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form when you purchased your tickets through the Walt Disney World Resort website or My Disney Experience app.

AN EXTRA GEM: Remember to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for every day that you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth. Check the theme park availability for your chosen theme park and ticket type, and then make the pass online using your My Disney Experience app. I hope that you're including EPCOT on your itinerary because the must-do EPCOT International Festival of the Arts ends on February 20th. You'll love the unique experiences that celebrate the arts in all forms, including theatre, music, fine art, and cuisine.

Maddie, if you have any questions during your vacation or even after, please don't hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney!

    Magic always,
