    Are there bikes with training wheels available for young riders? What is the weight/size limit for the child seat? We have a five year old that is a new rider. Do they offer tandem bikes or trailers?

    Welcome aboard, Anthony! Castaway Cay is one of my favorite places in the world. There is so much to offer and so much to do, yet so many places to do absolutely nothing and relax as well. It doesn't get better than that! 

    The trails that go around the island are gorgeous and the perfect place for a leisurely family bike ride. There are bikes available with child seats attached. The weight limit for those seats is 40 pounds. There are also numerous small bikes with training wheels, which would probably be your best bet for your 5-year old. Plenty of bikes are available, so you really don't need to make advanced reservations. I have not seen the tandem bikes myself, however I spoke with a representative at Disney Cruise Line today and she said that they do have a few available, but not many. So, perhaps you'll get lucky if that is what you're looking for.

    I would say that early morning would be the best time to go for a ride, as sometimes the line to rent the bikes can get a bit long later on in the day.
