Hi, Denise! I'm glad you decided to take the plunge and rent a Polar Patio at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Everyone deserves to "chill out" and be treated like a VIP, especially on their 60th birthday!
Let's dive into some details! There are 15 Polar Patio spaces throughout the water park that can be booked in advance of your trip by calling (407) 939-7529. Take a look at the
Blizzard Beach map- you'll see that each one is along the Cross Country Creek Lazy River. If you have young children, consider requesting the first Polar Patio right next to Tike's Peak, which is a kid-sized play area perfect for little Mouseketeers.
These spaces include an attendant who can take food orders (separate charges for food apply), towels, and a cooler with ice and water. During my experience, our attendant gave us a number that we used to text her when we needed more towels (I'm not sure of the size, but they are identical to the ones at the resort hotel pools) and to order lunch. When my son fell and skinned his knees, she responded immediately with a first aid kit and an ice pack. If my memory serves me correctly, the lockers came with a key, and the space inside was large enough to fit our beach bag and my husband's wallet. It's these little extras that made the splurge worth it, and we offered our attendant a small tip at the end of the day (which is not necessary but always appreciated).
Denise, If you're brave enough to try Summit Plummet (which is the "Big Daddy" of the park at 13 stories tall), you might want to relax in your Polar Patio afterward with a drink from the Polar Pub- I'd recommend the Blue Blizzard Margarita. If you're like me though, Melt-Away Bay may be more your speed!
