Hi ya, Michael!
Welcome to planDisney! I know what it's like to be the "leader of the club" when traveling to the parks with a big party. I'd be happy to give you some tips!
You're correct that the Disneyland Resort won't let one person hold overlapping
dining reservations. So you'll want to recruit a planning sidekick to help you make multiple reservations at the same location. I usually have my husband open his Disney account on one device while I open my own Disney account on my device. We then try to make dining reservations at the same location as close to the same time as possible. If we're making reservations as soon as they open (usually 60 days in advance around 6:00 AM EST) then we usually have pretty good luck! If you don't see what you want right away then keep checking back. You never know when the perfect reservation might appear!
When we're in the parks using multiple dining reservations we always head for the restaurant at least 20 minutes earlier than our first reservation time. When we get there we kindly ask the Cast Member host if we can be seated near each other. It isn't always an option, but they always do their best to help us!
There are also some great quick-service dining locations for large groups! Some of our favorite places to go when we're all together are:
Many of these locations accept
mobile orders from the
Disneyland Mobile App, which is a really nice way to manage a big group meal.
Michael, I'm sending you lots of pixie dust and happy thoughts for your dining reservations to go well!
Please let me know if there are other questions I can help you with as you prepare for your trip!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
