What stars wars experiences require a reservation in advance?

Galactic greetings, Scott! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. I can tell the Force is strong with you and gather that you are a Star Wars fan like myself.

The good news is that you don't have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to enjoy some out-of-this-world fun. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park has several enchanting extras that you can enjoy on your upcoming trip. A trip to Savi's Workshop to make a handbuilt lightsaber is a must for anyone strong with the Force. A "Gatherer" will guide you through constructing your very own lightsaber, complete with kyber crystal and carrying case. You and up to two additional Guests may participate in this experience; please note that at least one Guest must be age 14 or older. Reservations for this experience can be made online via the Disneyland Website or in the Disneyland Mobile App

Not sure you want to carry a lightsaber back to your home planet? Perhaps a droid is what you are looking for. At Droid Depot, you can build a custom droid, like Anakin Skywalker with C-3PO. Choose from a BB-Series, C-Series, or R-Series droid, and then pick your parts before heading to a build station. As with Savi's Workshop, advanced reservations are highly recommended and can be made online or in the Disneyland Mobile App.

Another fun activity that you might enjoy while in Batuu, Scott, is Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. For this, you will need to buy a MagicBand+ and download the Play Disney Parks app (available for iOS or Android). Then, get a bounty assignment from the job board in Galaxy's Edge and marvel as your MagicBand+ interacts with your surroundings by vibrating and illuminating, indicating that you are on the right path toward virtual bounty. You can use the Play Disney Parks app's augmented reality thermal viewer to reveal who's lurking in the shadows. It's a fun activity for any Star Wars fan!

Scott, I believe my planDisney Pal Tiffany already walked you through getting a reservation at Oga's Cantina but in case you need more galactic sustenance, be sure to check out Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for the Cold Brew Black Caf - a must-have for me every time I travel to Batuu. (Bonus tip: You can skip the line by mobile ordering food in the Disneyland App!)

I hope this information helps you plan an exciting day, Scott. Please visit us again with any other questions!

May the Force Be With You,
    Melissa
