Is there a big difference between Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach as far as activities, food options, amenities, one more busy than the other? We will only have time to visit one on our trip in July. Thanks

    Hi Tina,

My family has been to both and love them both. As for food and amenities, they are the same. It is the activities which are different.

Blizzard Beach is great for little ones (under 10) and families that want to stay together. Their children areas are geared for specific ages which is wonderful. Plus they have plenty of family rides which everyone can experience together. Their main pool is very calm so everyone can enjoy.

Typhoon Lagoon has big wave pool which you can take surf lessons in the morning before the park opens. Then when the park opens, these area has waves that are intense and knocks me off my feet. It also has three water rollercoasters which are awesome! Finally, who would not want to snorkel with live fish? The rides are geared more towards teens and single activities which is fine if this is how your party wants to play in the water.

I would ask your family which one they like as my now 12 and 14 year olds would be happy at either!

    Wishing you a magical day!
