Howdy Hey Cyndi,
Thanks for stopping back at planDisney with this great question!
While cycling around
Walt Disney World Resort may sound like the perfect way to control your transportation schedule, the majority of roads around the theme parks are intended for motor vehicles and bus use. There are no sidewalks or bike trails that would provide a safe route, and it is my understanding that all of the roads that lead to the theme parks are classified as limited-access roads, which would prohibit bicycle use. Additionally, there are no bicycle racks at the theme parks and if you attempted to chain the bike to a fixed object (like a tree or bench), it is likely it would be removed before you could return.
There is good news though if you just do not want to miss your daily bike ride. Disney does allow bikes to be brought to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel but you will need to secure it in your room when not in use. You will want to speak to your resort front desk team to make sure you understand the areas that are accessible to bike riders. One of the best places to enjoy a relaxing bike ride is
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and The Campgrounds and you will even find bike racks near the boat dock. There are also a handful of Disney resorts
where you can rent a bike and enjoy a nice ride. Rental options include both adult and children's bikes and are available on a first come basis.
I hope you find this information helpful. If I can answer any additional planning questions, I hope you will stop back and
see me.
With pixie dust,
Margaret
