Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen!
Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Put it together and what have you got? The recipe for a magical vacation with your daughter this fall! My heart is filled with joy thinking of all the memories the two of you will be able to make during your getaway.
An enchanted makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a highlight for so many princesses who visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. I am happy to hEAR you were able to grab an appointment for your very own princess during your visit.
You are correct, for your daughter to be transformed at the boutique her scalp needs to be clear for at least 30 days. If the Fairy Godmother-in-Training can see that her skin is not clear at the time of her makeover, they will not be able to style her hair for safety reasons. As a mother, my heart would break for any princess to have to step down off of that Bibbidi Bobbidi throne once they have proudly had a seat.
I would recommend you keep the appointment for now to ensure you have a time reserved for a makeover. As you get closer to your vacation, if your daughter does not have a flare up you will be able to enjoy this wonderful experience with her. In the event she does have a flare up, you can then cancel your appointment within 24 hours without penalty.
To avoid disappointment on the day of her appointment, save this reservation as a surprise for her so in the event you need to cancel you can go to plan B. When my daughter was young and we took her on her first visit to Walt Disney World, I was unable to get a boutique appointment for her. Instead, we let her purchase the gown of her choice prior to our vacation. She wore it to the parks after a mom-makeover in our hotel room so she felt like a princess. We then visited the boutique during our day at
Magic Kingdom and the Fairy Godmothers-in-Training were gracious enough to sprinkle a little pixie dust on her when we stopped by (just ask!). Remember, you can always make your own magic, even without a wand!
I hope you enjoy making so many magical memories with your daughter this fall. See ya real soon! Angie
