We have 8:30 b-fast reservations at H-wood & Vine during May trip. 2 questions plz 1) w/o park hopper, should we make this our day at H-wood Studios? 2)we will be allowed in the park early by mentioning the reservation? We're not staying on-campus.

Let me answer question #2 first. Yes, you will be able to park at Disney's Hollywood Studios with an early breakfast reservation.

Then to question #1...

You will need to use an admission ticket to get into the park for your meal. So yes, it does make sense to make that your day at the Studios. Otherwise, if you leave, you will have spent an entire day's worth of ticket for just one meal. All the restaurants that are in the parks require you to have and use a park admission ticket to get there. So, have a great meal at Hollywood and Vine, and then have a great day exploring the Studios.
