Jambo, Savannah! Thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney!
Grab your binoculars and be on the lookout for wild animals (or just your
favorite characters in their best safari gear), because it sounds like you're getting ready for a grand adventure at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! I'm so glad to hear that you're making plans to hop on
Kilimanjaro Safaris, which just happens to be one of my favorite attractions at
Walt Disney World Resort. I'd love to help you make the most out of this experience!
Savannah, in my experience, Guests are asked to not have open containers of food or drinks while on attractions. If you have a water bottle with a closed cap or a snack that can be packaged up and zipped in a backpack, that would be my recommendation. And it's especially important on the safari – this will keep the wildlife safe, and you'll also want to make sure your hands are free to take pictures of the incredible flora and fauna (my favorite animals to see are the giraffe and the okapi!).
While visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you won't want to miss the stunning
Festival of the Lion King show! And use your
My Disney Experience app to place a
mobile order at
Satu'li Canteen for the Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl and the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – trust me! But Savannah, the truth is that no matter what you see or do, I know you're going to have an absolutely magical time.
