    what's a beverage cooler

Hello Colleen! I can see you’ve been doing your research into Walt Disney World Resort hotels!

Beverage coolers can be found in the Guest rooms across the hotels of the Walt Disney World Resort. A beverage cooler may have previously been referred to as a mini fridge. The in-room beverage cooler is large enough to hold several bottles of water (or other beverages) and some smaller food items.

My wife and I have mastered the art of efficient beverage cooler use! We’re usually able to get a few water bottles, yogurts, a few pieces of fruit or vegetables, and a couple of sandwiches in the beverage cooler. As we remove items for use, we replenish items for future use. For example, if two cold water bottles come out, we immediately put two room-temperature water bottles in to be used later.

The difference that I’ve found between beverage coolers and a traditional mini fridge is that the beverage coolers are a bit smaller and take a little longer to cool items. My best guess is that the beverage coolers are probably more energy-efficient than a mini fridge. Other than that, we haven’t experienced much of a difference in using the beverage cooler.

Colleen, come on back to planDisney as you continue dreaming of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We’re happy to help!

    Dreams do come true!
