When is a better time to go to WDW? March break? or the Summer? Anyone who has personal experience stories between these times, I would love to hear:)

    Hi Rose,

Well my first thought is any time is a great time to go to Walt Disney World but I am thinking you are concerned about weather and crowds. We have visited many times throughout March and April for the spring break period as well as various trips throughout the summer months.

We enjoyed the less humid weather that you typically find during March and April. The temperatures are usually in the low eighties with minimal rain. The crowds do get quite heavy and since most schools' spring breaks are within a short period of time, the crowds seem to all come and go at almost the same time. The summer months are very hot and humid. The highs are usually in the nineties with humidity and the rainfall is the highest in the summer months, with some rain almost everyday. The crowds seem to increase as the summer passes but an advantage here is that the parks usually open early and stay open quite late, giving you more time to play.

Personally between the two choices, we prefer the summer, especially the early part of the summer. The first few weeks of June are not nearly as hot and humid as July and August and the crowds have often not swelled to their peak numbers. You may still find some great deals on Disney packages and rooms before their prime travel season starts up. I have found the Independance Day holiday to be extremely crowded and if you are looking to avoid the masses, this would be one week I would avoid.

Either time you pick, I am confident your family will enjoy their trip! Enjoy!
