what’s better to stay at - Saratoga or old key west studio. My daughter will be 6 months pregnant and traveling with a 2 year old. We prefer something with a monorail but nothing else was available for Memorial Day weekend. Are both as spread out? Luann

    Hi Luann!

It looks like your multi-generational magical vacation is right around the corner! My mom came with us to Disney when my twins were just a bit older than your grandbaby, and it was invaluable to have the extra set of hands. You have narrowed down your Resort choices to two fabulous options with very similar feels, so let’s see if I can help you make your choice!

Disney’s Old Key West Resort is quintessential Southern comfort. From the hammocks swinging in the breeze to the homestyle cooking at Olivia’s Cafe - everything hails back to the easy-breezy romance of the Florida Keys. The Villas are large and offer plenty of room, plenty of amenities (from full-sized kitchens to boat transportation to Disney Springs), and plenty of relaxation!

On the other hand, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of my favorite Resorts on property. I love the expansive walkways, fabulous pools, and the ability to walk to Disney Springs. The Preferred Villas are in The Springs or Congress Park, and both sections are close to the pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs as well as conveniently located near transportation and the hotel lobby.

When our babies were little, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort was our favorite property to stay at. Being able to put the littles in a stroller and walk to Disney Springs gave us the elusive freedom that is sorely missed when you travel with it-bits! Strolling in the evening was also the perfect way to wind down before bedtime.

Luann, both options are great, but for this trip, I would pick Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You won’t regret it!
