what are the better rooms at the Caribbean beach hotel? I have a 9 and 11 yr. old and was told rooms near the large pool are better than any of the pirate themed ones. help?

Hi Tammy!  Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a wonderful respite from a day at the parks.  I love the island feel of the resort, and truly enjoy relaxing in the hammocks and taking a stroll around Caribbean Cay.

The Pirate Rooms at Caribbean Beach are really amazing.  The "ship" beds and all the pirate-theme touches, from the skull and crossbones privacy curtain to the lantern-like light fixtures, create a one of a kind room, which kids are in awe of.  If your kids enjoy movies like "Pirates of the Caribbean" or characters like Captain Hook, then they will absolutely enjoy these room.  These rooms are available at a higher rate than standard rooms

If their interest is spending time at the Old Port Royale theme pool,  then perhaps you would prefer the rooms near the pool area.  Those buildings, Trinidad North 31,32,33 and Martinique 25, 26 and 27 are the buildings that lay closest to the pool.  These are considered preferred buildings, and will be at a higher cost that standard rooms.

I hope that this helps you make your decision.
