Welcome to planDisney, Christian!
It is wonderful to hear you are
planning a return to the magic. How exciting! I am glad that you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and
taking advantage of all the extra pixie dust offered to you when you are a guest at the house of mouse!
I just returned from a stay at
Disney's Pop Century Resort last week. This is a
great value resort! The rooms were recently refurbished and I adored the magical touches throughout. The beds are also super comfortable! I stayed in building ten (one of the 1970's buildings) and found it to be close to Century Hall with easy access to the quick service dining and the Hippy Dippy Pool. What I loved most about this resort was the excellent complimentary transportation options. The
bus service was great and access to
Disney Skyliner was a huge plus!
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort was the first Walt Disney World Resort hotel I ever stayed in, so it also holds a special place in my heart. The room accommodations and amenities here are very similar to Disney's Pop Century Resort. The key difference is in the theming and transportation. If you really want Disney all around you, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort gives you more of your classic Disney characters with friends from films like 101 Dalmatians. This resort also only offers bus transportation to the four theme parks.
If both resorts fit within your budget, I would recommend Disney's Pop Century Resort as it seems your focus is on transportation. Having access to Disney Skyliner is a perk of this resort and that would be the deciding factor to me. I will say however, that last week during our visit I found the bus transportation to be incredibly timely and well managed! Either resort, you cannot go wrong and you will enjoy your stay!
