Welcome Home, Debra!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I empathize with your situation, we too had to revamp our next visit to the 'World, and while a "stitch" in our plans was not ideal, we will make it work! I love that you have two fantastic new options to choose from, and I guarantee you can't go wrong with either choice!
Disney's Old Key West Resort is the ultimate in laid-back charm. Their
Disney Vacation Club Villas are some of the largest on property, so if your family likes to spread out, this is the place to stay! I love the hammocks that dot the property, and my whole family loves the proximity to
Disney Springs. You can hop on a water taxi and take a leisurely boat ride to all the fun, dining, and shopping of the fabulous entertainment district.
On the other hand,
Disney's Riviera Resort gives you the brand new
Disney Skyliner! The gondola transportation system connects four Resort Hotel properties as well as two Theme Parks. From the Resort, you are a hop, skip, and a jump from EPCOT and the
Planet of Batuu! I think this would be ideal for you and your boys, as it makes transportation to the Parks super easy and fun. You will love the
Mediterranean-theming of the Resort, and your boys will enjoy the pool and giant-sized lawn games. You also have hands down one of the most delicious and delightful
brunches on property at the hotel.
Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends is the best! The Croissant au Jambon takes me straight back to my favorite café on Île St. Louis in Paris, and
Dancer Daisy might be my favorite Character outfit ever!
Now that I've compared both
Resorts, I'm going to have to say Disney's Riviera Resort for the win! But, regardless of where you stay, I know you will have
a magical adventure. Bon Voyage!
