Is it better to do activities like Fishing earlier in the morning or later after lunch in terms of getting off the ship/crowds etc.

Welcome aboard, Courtney! Disney Cruise Line certainly offers some amazing Port Adventures! No matter what it is that interests you, from fishing, as you mentioned, to waterpark adventures, bike riding, hiking, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the beach, Disney has an adventure tailored just for you!

Some of Disney's Port Adventures offer more than one departure time. When your window for online check-in begins, 75 days prior to departure for first time guests, (90 or more days prior for those who have sailed with Disney before), you'll be able to view the options for departures for each Port Adventure available on your sailing. Honestly, there really isn't a better time to choose for any of them, as far as getting off of the ship. Disney's Port Adventures all meet on the ship, for the most part. You'll receive a ticket in your stateroom that lists the meeting time and location on the ship. That day, simply arrive at your meeting spot onboard where you'll check in and meet your guide. They'll go over a few basic instructions, give you towels if it's a water adventure, and then the whole group debarks the ship together as a group.

Of course, most guests leaving the ship on their own in ports, tend to head off in the morning so they can enjoy the full day exploring the area, so there is a bit more waiting in the morning than there is in the afternoon. But, that won't make your Port Adventure shorter. They take this into account when they set up the meeting times for each adventure. So, choose the time that works best for your family and you'll be all set, Courtney!

Have fun planning! Feel free to stop back here with any other questions about your exciting cruise, Courtney! We're happy to help!
