Hi Sara,
I completely understand what you mean! The Disney Vacation Club is a wonderful experience for my family however it suits our life style.
When we became members, we looked at how we wanted to vacation. Would we vacation at least every other year at the Walt Disney World Resorts which we thought we would. We compared the price of Disney Vacation Club to other time shares in the area with respect to maintenance fees, exchanges, location and the quality of the property which Disney offered. All of these items we felt were worth purchasing an initial share of the membership.
However, as we grew to love the membership, we increased our interest. For our family, the membership has allowed us to take two Disney cruises, stay in deluxe accommodations at least once a year, vacation at Disneyland and be able to treat our extended family to a Disney vacation. Next year, we are looking forward to traveling to the newest resort, Aulani, in Hawaii. We also receive perks such as discounts on certain tickets and other Disney experiences. With the addition of RCI, the number of resorts to experience throughout the United States and the world is endless.
If you have any additional questions, I encourage you to visit the Disney Vacation Club
website or talk to a vacation adviser at 877-382-7826. Or when you are at the parks, take the tour and ask your questions. One of the things that impressed us was that we were ready to purchase after we took the tour and we were told we could not buy it then. We had 30 days to think about it and to go home and make sure it was the right decision for our family.
It was and is and let me know if you have any additional questions!
Have a magical day!
Beth
