    Hi Beth! My husband and I are staying at AKL 01/17-26 for our 5th anniv. We DisneyMooned at WDW and go back every year. We are staying in a standard and requested a king room. I understand its only a request, any secret to getting a king? Thank you! :)

    Congratulations on five years of marriage and wishing you at least 5,000 more! My husband and I honeymooned at Disney 23 years ago and it started our regular visits to our favorite place.

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite resorts. We rarely stay there because we would never get our oldest daughter off the property. Jiko - the Cooking Place is a favorite restaurant of mine.

    While all rooms requests are just that, I recommend calling Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge about a week prior to check-in and make the request. You can note your request when you are completing your online check-in ten days prior to your arrival. Finally, mention to the cast member when you arrive that you are celebrating your anniversary and see if that helps. 

    You want to grab a celebration pin and wear it during your vacation. You never know the magic it might bring!
