What is the best/quickest way to get from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom? We have a DR for lunch at 11:30am at Trex, and I'm trying to plan what time (realistically) we will make it to MK if we go straight there after eating.

    Hi Kerri,

It sounds like you have a ROARIN' great lunch planned during your visit to the most magical place on earth! You're going to have so much fun at T-REX at Disney Springs!

I usually plan on our Table-service meals lasting around an hour or a little more, then I'd plan on a few minutes to walk to the area where buses depart. Since you won't be able to take a bus directly from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom Park, you'll need to plan on going back to your Resort hotel first. Buses come every 20 minutes, on average, and then depending on where your Resort hotel is, you'll need to factor in that transportation time, too. I'd say a safe bet would be to plan on the transportation process taking between 45 - 90 minutes or so, which should put you to Magic Kingdom Park around 2:30 p.m., give or take.

If you're not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll need to move your car from Disney Springs over to the Transportation and Ticket Center after your lunch since Guests aren't permitted to leave cars at Disney Springs when heading somewhere else. If that's the case, it should be about a 15 minute drive, depending on traffic, to go from Disney Springs to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then you'll need to take either the monorail or a ferry boat over to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. I would guess you'd be in the park no later than 2:00.

Either way, you'll have most of the afternoon and all evening to enjoy the magic and wonder of Magic Kingdom Park (my favorite theme park) after your delicious and fun lunch!

I hope this helps as you're planning your trip, Kerri! Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and please let us know if you have any other questions. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
