Is it best to get to the parks right when they open or a little before? Will be traveling in '12 with 2 kids 7 and 3. Want to get the most out of our days.

Hi David! My husband will tell you that, much to his dismay, I never arrive early anywhere I go. However, the Disney parks are an exception to my usual tardiness. I always make sure my family arrives at the parks a little before opening time. We don't like to stand in lines for the attractions, and we've found that being one of the first to enter the park really makes a difference in our wait times. If you arrive at least twenty minutes before the park opens, you'll have time to proceed through the ticket turnstiles and the bag inspection and you can position yourself near the entrance so that when the park opens, you'll be able to walk on attractions with virtually no waiting. Also, the parks have cute opening shows that are a fun way to start the day. I love the opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom -- it brings tears to my eyes every time!

Hope you have a magical Disney vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
