When is the best weeks in October to go to WDW concerning the crowds? When will the dates come out for the Hawolleen Party next year? Thanks!

    HI Susan!

October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! In general the crowds are much lower during the month than the summer or the holidays!

A couple of times to avoid, if you are looking for THE lowest crowds possible:

    • First, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival usually opens during the last weekend of September/first weekend of October. In general, this weekend will be fairly busy at Epcot BUT the other parks should still be lower crowds.
    • Next, there may be a small increase around Columbus Day as some schools do have a long weekend.
    • And, last but not least, Halloween is a popular night for Trick or Treating and having fun at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is almost always a sold out party night!

Dates for the Halloween Party are typically announced in late Spring each year. A great place to keep an eye on for the announcement is the Disney Parks Blog. They always have the latest scoop!

Hope you have fun planning your October trip!
